What is ClimatePlanAI?

ClimatePlanAI is a lightweight builder for city climate plans and policies. You pick a standards-aligned template, answer a guided form, and download an editable DOCX/PDF—plus a shareable review link for colleagues.

Who is it for?

City sustainability teams, small/medium municipalities, municipal companies, and consultants on tight timelines who need credible, council-ready drafts.

Which standards do you align with?

Our templates and guided forms map to SE(C)AP sections (for Covenant-style plans) and GPC inventory fields (GHG Protocol for Cities). Some templates reference ISO/EPBD/AFIR/WHO guidance where relevant. This is alignment for structure and fields, not legal certification.

How does the builder work?

Choose a template
Select a compliance mode (SE(C)AP / GPC, where relevant)
Complete a short, plain-English form (targets, baselines, owners, budgets, risks)
Review a live preview and export DOCX/PDF
Share a private link for view/comment/edit

What will I need before I start?

Baseline year and any inventory data you have (OK to leave blank)
Draft targets (e.g., 2030/2040)
Key action owners/departments
Budget bands (ballpark is fine)
Known risks or constraints

How long does a plan take?

Most templates can be drafted in about 45–120 minutes, depending on how much data you already have.

What do exports look like?

Clean Word and PDF with: executive summary, KPIs, action tables (owners/dates/cost bands), risk register, and a timeline. Exports carry a version ID so reviewers and council see the exact draft you approved.

Can colleagues collaborate?

Yes. Use the share link to give view, comment, or edit access. You can set link expiry, optional password, and roles.

Do you store our data?

Your inputs are private to your workspace. You can delete drafts and exports at any time. We don’t resell or publish your content.

Who owns the generated content?

You do. All generated plans and exports are yours to use, edit, and publish.

Is this legally “compliant”?

We provide alignment to widely used frameworks to save time and reduce errors. Legal compliance and final sign-off remain your responsibility.

What languages are supported?

The builder is in English today. Plans can be exported in English; translation-ready structure means you can easily translate sections later. (Multi-language exports are on our roadmap.)

Pricing

Simple pay-per-document checkout. Volume bundles are available. No subscription is required.

Payment methods

Major cards and PayPal. If you require purchase orders/invoices, contact us.

Refunds

If an export fails or your file is corrupted, we’ll re-enable your download or refund the charge. For content-quality concerns, reach out within 7 days and we’ll help fix the draft.

Accessibility

Clear headings, large tap targets, keyboard-navigable forms, and high-contrast defaults. If you hit an accessibility issue, tell us and we’ll prioritise a fix.

Browser support

Latest Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. If something looks off, refresh and try disabling aggressive ad/script blockers for the page.

Can we customise templates?

Yes—every section is editable. You can add local sections, rename fields, and change KPIs. Want something we don’t stock? Tell us and we’ll consider adding it.

Can we attach evidence or maps?

You can paste links and references directly into sections today. File attachments and map embeds are planned.

Can we re-use a plan for multiple departments or towns?

Yes. Duplicate a finished plan and change the data to create a new version.

Do you offer support?

Yes—email support and quick how-to guides. For larger cities/consultancies, ask about onboarding workshops.

Troubleshooting

My export didn’t download.
Check your browser’s download permissions; then refresh and click Export again. If it still fails, contact support with your plan ID.

Numbers aren’t appearing in tables.
Fill the related form fields (baseline/targets/budget bands). The preview updates once the field loses focus.

Colleague can’t access the share link.
Verify the link role (view/comment/edit), ensure the link hasn’t expired, and re-send. Password-protected? Confirm the password.

Anchor links jump under the header.
Scroll slightly up, or open the plan’s Full preview via the top-right button.
